Wenger Should Go Now

Okay, it’s still August, and we’ve already beaten by Fulham, one of the so-called relegation candidates. But after watching the game, I think it’s the other way around.

This is by far, the weakest Arsenal squad for the last 10 years, and I think Wenger’s youth policy is ruining the team’s ability on winning any trophies. Maybe, the Carling Cup is to blame for this. I mean, every year, the so-called young team managed to beatsome decent teams to least get to the quarter-final, . So maybe, with this huge playing experience, he claimed that the team is already matured and able to fight for the Premiershiop title. I don’ think we can emulate Ajax dream team in the 70’s but if Wenger believe it can be achieved, I think he should leave Arsenal and go on to manage another team, perhaps a team like Birmingham or Norwich.

Agree, it’s priceless to unearthed young gems like Fabregas once in a while. But you can’t keep on producing gems every year. That’s why with every Henry, there will always be a Grimandi or Eboue. But the problem with this squad is there are too many Eboue’s AND Grimandi’s. Granted, given time Ramsey and Wilshere will become decent player, maybe in the mold of Pennant or Sidwell. But that is what holds in the future, not right now and that is what making the fans sick of Wenger’s arrogance of not bringing quality players.
